Description

Full-Color Promotional Heat Transfer Gang Sheets put multiple designs on one press-ready sheet, built for items that standard garment transfers cannot handle. The promotional adhesive bonds to coated fabrics, technical fibers, and heavy-duty materials, so one sheet covers tote bags, backpacks, lanyards, coolers, shoes, umbrellas, tents, and even cardboard and wood packaging accents. There is no color limit and no weeding, so detailed logos, small type, and gradients stay clean with a smooth, durable finish.

The print carries a white backing under the color, which keeps artwork bright on both light and dark surfaces. Color stays consistent across reorders with spot-color matching for brand palettes, and metallic colors are available at no extra cost for premium promo looks. The transfer stretches and rebounds without cracking, and the water-based inks keep the hand smooth on bags and gear that get carried, folded, and used daily.

Order a completed gang sheet in one of three sheet sizes: A5 5.8 x 8.3 in, A4 8.3 x 11.7 in, or A3 11.7 x 16.5 in. Arrange your designs inside the sheet you order and upload the finished sheet file. There is no online builder. Every sheet presses in a single application, so one sheet can carry a run of logos or a mix of graphics for the same job.

These transfers suit tote and shopping bags, backpacks and drawstring bags, coolers and lunch bags, lanyards and small pouches, shoes, umbrellas, tents, suitcases, sunbrellas, and cardboard or wood accents. They handle durable fabrics such as 600D polyester and ripstop nylon, plus complex technical fibers and large objects pressed with a compressed-air press. They are intended for items that can withstand 260F to 320F. Where a standard garment transfer would overheat the item or fail to bond, this promo formulation is the safer choice.

Application takes 10 seconds at 260F to 320F with firm 40 psi pressure, then a hot peel. Use an air-operated or manual heat press, not a domestic iron, a craft press, or any press without adequate pressure settings, and press a sample first when you change materials. Supply one print-ready gang-sheet PDF with fonts outlined and fine lines at 0.6 pt or heavier, and every file is reviewed before printing. Production runs 1 to 2 business days. For bags and promo gear that must bond the first time, this is the format to order.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a gang sheet?

A single press-ready sheet that holds multiple arranged designs. You upload one completed sheet file sized to the sheet you order, and the whole sheet presses in one application.

How do I order a gang sheet?

Choose a sheet size (A5, A4, or A3), set the quantity, upload your completed gang-sheet file, and add any notes in Details and Comments. There is no online builder; arrange your designs before uploading.

What sheet sizes can I order?

Three sheet sizes: A5 5.8 x 8.3 in, A4 8.3 x 11.7 in, and A3 11.7 x 16.5 in. The largest covers a full tote panel or gear front.

What is the minimum order?

10 sheets per design to start; the configurator enforces the live gang-sheet minimum. For fewer than 10, use a no-minimum format instead.

How does quantity pricing work?

Order the quantity of sheets you need. Unit cost steps down at 20, 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000, 2500, and 5000 sheets, so larger runs cost less per sheet. Final totals calculate live in the configurator.

Which promo items and materials work best?

Tote and shopping bags, backpacks and drawstring bags, coolers and lunch bags, lanyards and small pouches, shoes, umbrellas, tents, suitcases, sunbrellas, and cardboard or wood accents, provided the item withstands 260F to 320F. Durable fabrics such as 600D polyester and ripstop nylon press well.

Which materials should I avoid?

Do not press items that cannot withstand 260F to 320F. A standard garment transfer can overheat coated promo items or fail to bond; this promo formulation is made for those surfaces when pressed correctly.

Can I mix multiple designs on one sheet?

Yes. Arrange multiple designs inside the sheet dimensions you order, then upload the completed sheet as one file. Keep all artwork inside the sheet area with no extra trim marks.

Do you match brand colors?

Yes. Spot-color matching is available, so team and brand colors stay consistent. Metallic colors are also available at no extra cost. Add custom-color instructions in Colors (Optional).

What press settings do I use?

260F to 320F for 10 seconds at 40 psi firm pressure, then peel hot. Use a higher setting on a manual press. Full steps are on the Application tab.

What press do I need?

An air-operated or manual heat press, or a compressed-air press for large objects such as suitcases, tents, and sunbrellas. A domestic iron or a low-pressure craft press will not bond the transfer correctly.

How fast will my order produce?

Production runs 1 to 2 business days. Delivery time depends on location and the shipping method selected at checkout.

What artwork file should I upload?

One completed gang-sheet file sized to the sheet ordered, PDF preferred from vector software. Arrange all designs inside the sheet area, outline all fonts, and keep fine lines at 0.6 pt or heavier. PDF, AI, CDR, and SVG are preferred, and other common formats are accepted.

Step-by-Step Application

  1. Confirm heat tolerance. Check that the item withstands 260F to 320F. When unsure about a coating or shell fabric, test on a sample or hidden area first.
  2. Prepare the surface. Clean and smooth the press area. Press the blank briefly where the material allows to remove wrinkles and surface moisture.
  3. Place the transfer. Position the transfer printed side up on the item, not over a seam, zipper, or hardware. The finished size of the transfer is the finished size of the print.
  4. Close the press. Set the platen to 260F to 320F and close with firm pressure at 40 psi. On a manual press, use a higher pressure setting.
  5. Hold. Keep the press closed for the full 10 seconds. Do not shorten the dwell, because the promotional adhesive needs the full heat and time to bond.
  6. Peel hot. Open the press and peel the carrier away immediately while the print is still warm, with a slow steady pull.
  7. Check the result. Confirm the edges are fully bonded before continuing with the rest of the run.

Important Precautions

  • Use an air-operated or manual heat press, not a domestic iron or a low-pressure craft press, and never a press without adequate pressure settings.
  • Do not press items that cannot withstand 260F to 320F.
  • Keep transfers away from seams, zippers, and hardware that prevent even pressure.
  • When in doubt about dye stability or coatings, press a sample first and check it after cooling before running production.
  • Always perform a test press before starting full production. We are not responsible for damaged garments.

Care Instructions

  • Wash Cold Inside Out.
  • Best if Hang Dry or No Heat if Must Tumble Dry Low Heat.
  • Do Not Bleach.
  • Do Not Iron Imprint/Transfer.
  • Do Not Dry Clean.
  • Best Not to use fabric softener.

Always perform a test press before full production to verify adhesion, application settings, and garment compatibility.

Artwork Requirements

Artwork Requirements

Print-Ready Basics

Prepare your design at the intended finished size for the best printing results. Clean artwork, accurate dimensions, and properly prepared files help preserve detail and color.

  • Prepare artwork at the intended finished printing size.
  • Use one clearly identified artwork file per design.
  • Convert all fonts to outlines or shapes.
  • Check spelling, colors, dimensions, and orientation.
  • Use transparent backgrounds wherever no printing is intended.
  • Include any special design requirements in your order notes.

Accepted File Formats

High-quality PDF files exported from vector artwork are preferred. Other vector and raster formats can also be submitted for review.

  • Preferred Format: High-quality PDF
  • Vector Formats: AI, EPS, CDR, SVG
  • Raster Formats: PSD, PNG, JPG
  • Raster Resolution: At least 300 PPI at the finished printing size.
  • Linked Images: Embed all linked images in the submitted file.

For designs with transparent areas, PNG or PSD is preferable to JPG. JPG files should only be used when the entire rectangular background is intended to print.

Color & Design Setup

Color preparation depends on the selected transfer type. Use the correct color settings for the printing process and make sure the submitted design represents the intended finished artwork.

  • Color Mode: Prepare artwork using CMYK color mode. Pantone color matching is not available for DTF.
  • Pantone-Matched Products: Where matching is supported, use official Pantone Solid Coated (C) colors.
  • Transparency: Keep non-printing areas transparent and avoid unwanted solid backgrounds.
  • Effects: Semi-transparent glows, fades, and shadows may need to be converted into solid-edged artwork.

Minimum Detail & Text Requirements

Fine details should be large enough to reproduce cleanly. Avoid excessively thin free-floating lines and ensure that text and vector effects are prepared correctly.

Requirement Minimum
Free-Floating Line Thickness 0.6 pt / 0.2 mm
  • Convert all editable text to outlines or shapes.
  • Embed linked artwork and images.
  • Expand pattern fills before submitting vector artwork.
  • Keep small design elements clear and avoid excessively fine details.

Before Uploading Your Artwork

  • Verify the finished printing dimensions.
  • Confirm that the artwork uses the appropriate color setup.
  • Check that text has been converted to outlines or shapes.
  • Verify that transparent areas will remain unprinted.
  • Review fine lines and small design elements.
  • Upload the artwork using the product configurator.
  • Add important artwork instructions or special requests to your order notes.

If you are unsure whether your artwork is suitable, submit the best available file and explain any concerns in your order notes so the artwork can be reviewed.
