Two formulas cover everyday garments: Advanced SP for runs of 10 or more and Advanced DTF from a single piece. Six specialty formulas each solve one fabric problem: bleeding dye, scorching heat, both at once, cap seams, coated softshell, and promo materials.
Screen printedAdvanced SP — Full-Color Hybrid Screen Print Transfers
Screen-printed full color for everyday apparel, runs of 10+
A screen-printed full-color transfer. Your design is digitally printed in full color on a screen-printed white backing, for a soft hand, strong opacity and vivid color on light and dark garments. PMS matching keeps brand colors consistent across reorders. More economical from about 20 identical pieces.
Not for: Coated, waterproof, sublimated or patterned fabric. Choose a dye-blocking formula there.
- Hot peel
- 290–320°F
- 10–15 sec
- Min. 10
No minimumAdvanced DTF — DTF Heat Transfers
Single pieces, short runs and gang sheets
A 100% digitally printed direct-to-film transfer with no minimum order, and the most economical choice under about 20 pieces. Digital white ink, unlimited colors, a soft hand and no glue line. The only formula sold on 22-inch-wide gang sheets.
Not for: Waterproof coatings, sublimated polyester or dark denim. Colors are close but not Pantone-matched; no metallics.
- Hot peel
- 280–320°F
- 12–15 sec
- No minimum

Advanced DB — Full-Color Dye-Blocking Heat Transfers
Sublimated, patterned and bleed-prone polyester
A screen-printed full-color transfer with a dye-blocking layer under the print, so dye from sublimated and patterned polyester cannot bleed through. Whites stay white, and metallics and PMS matching come at no extra cost.
Not for: Waterproof coatings, or fabric that needs a low-temperature press (choose Advanced LD).
- Hot peel
- 290–320°F
- 10–15 sec
- Min. 10

Advanced HC — Full-Color Cap Heat Transfers
Caps and hats, including designs that cross seams
A full-color cap transfer with a flexible adhesive that bridges seams without cracking and rebounds when the hat is bent. Small logos, fine text and gradients stay clean on a curved panel. Presses in 8 seconds on a curved hat platen.
Not for: Flat platens, irons or craft presses, or spots the platen cannot press evenly.
- Hot peel
- 290–320°F
- 8 sec
- Min. 10

Advanced LD — Low-Temperature Dye-Blocking Heat Transfers
Bleed-prone polyester that is also heat-sensitive
A low-temperature full-color transfer with a dye-blocking layer. Its low-cure adhesive bonds at 260–270°F, so sublimated jerseys and stretchy technical fabrics press without scorch marks while the blocker keeps dye out of the whites.
Not for: Fully waterproof fabric (choose Advanced PP) or designs across six-panel cap seams (choose Advanced HC).
- Hot peel
- 260–270°F
- 12–15 sec
- Min. 10

Advanced LT — Low-Temperature Full-Color Heat Transfers
Heat-sensitive fabrics whose dye does not bleed
A low-temperature full-color transfer that bonds at 260–270°F without scorch or heat marks. Suits tri-blends, spandex, high-poly blends, premium jackets, polos and hoodies, and pressable water-resistant bags and shoes.
Not for: Fabric whose dye may migrate (no blocking layer; choose Advanced LD), seams, or fully waterproof fabric.
- Hot peel
- 260–270°F
- 12–15 sec
- Min. 10

Advanced SD — Full-Color Softshell Dye-Blocking Transfers
Softshell jackets, vests, pants and coated outdoor gear
A screen-printed full-color transfer with a dye-blocking layer, made for softshell and coated outdoor fabrics, where a standard transfer can fail to bond or let dye bleed. Bonds at 290–300°F in 10 seconds.
Not for: Shells that cannot withstand 290–300°F. Test a hidden area first.
- Hot peel
- 290–300°F
- 10 sec
- Min. 10

Advanced PP — Full-Color Promotional Heat Transfers
Bags, promo products and other non-garment gear
A full-color transfer with a promotional adhesive that bonds to 600D polyester, ripstop nylon and hard-to-press materials. Use it on totes, backpacks, coolers, lanyards, shoes, umbrellas, tents and suitcases.
Not for: Items that cannot withstand 260–320°F. Test coated materials first.
- Hot peel
- 260–320°F
- 10 sec
- Min. 10
Which transfer do I need for my fabric?
Match the transfer to the fabric, not the artwork. Everyday cotton and blends take Advanced SP or Advanced DTF. Polyester that can bleed takes Advanced DB, or Advanced LD if it is also heat-sensitive. Caps, softshell and promo gear each have a dedicated formula.

Full-color transfer questions.
How to choose, order, prepare artwork for, press and care for all eight Advanced full-color transfers.
General
What is a full-color heat transfer?
A full-color heat transfer is a design printed in full color on a carrier sheet and applied to fabric or a product with a heat press. Every color, gradient and fine detail transfers in one press, with no weeding. All eight Advanced full-color transfers peel hot; the right formula depends on the fabric you are pressing, not on the artwork.
When do I need a dye-blocking transfer?
You need a dye-blocking transfer when the fabric’s dye can migrate into the print: sublimated, patterned or bleed-prone polyester, tri-blends and other unstable fabrics. A dye-blocking layer under the print keeps whites white and colors clean. Advanced DB blocks at standard heat (290–320°F), Advanced LD at low heat (260–270°F) and Advanced SD on softshell (290–300°F). When unsure, choose a blocker and press a test garment first.
What is the difference between Advanced DB, LD and LT?
Advanced DB, LD and LT differ in two ways: a dye-blocking layer and press temperature. Advanced DB has a dye-blocking layer and presses at standard heat (290–320°F). Advanced LD has a dye-blocking layer and bonds at low heat (260–270°F) for heat-sensitive fabric. Advanced LT also presses at 260–270°F but has no blocking layer, so use it only where the fabric’s dye is stable.
Do full-color transfers work on dark garments?
Yes. Advanced SP, DB, LD, LT, SD and PP print over a screen-printed white backing that keeps colors vivid on light and dark fabric, and Advanced HC keeps colors vivid on light and dark headwear. Advanced DTF prints with digital white ink for bright whites and vibrant color.
Fabrics
Which fabrics work with Advanced SP and Advanced DTF?
Advanced SP and Advanced DTF press onto cotton, polycotton blends, fleece, light denim, lycra, nylon, elastane and non-sublimated polyester: tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, athleisure and cotton totes. Neither is made for waterproof coatings, sublimated or patterned polyester, or fabric whose dye can migrate, including dark denim with Advanced DTF. Choose a dye-blocking formula for those fabrics.
How can I tell if a fabric’s dye will migrate?
Assume dye can migrate if the fabric is sublimated, patterned, dark or unstable polyester, or a blend you do not trust. Choose a dye-blocking formula (Advanced DB, LD or SD), press a test garment, and check the colors after the print cools before running production. On sublimated polyester, make sure the fabric is smooth and dry, because moisture encourages dye movement.
My polyester is sublimated and heat-sensitive. Advanced LD or Advanced LT?
Advanced LD. Both press at 260–270°F, but only Advanced LD has a dye-blocking layer to stop sublimation dye from migrating into the print. Advanced LT has no barrier, so it is the wrong choice wherever dye may migrate, even at low temperature.
Can I put a garment transfer on a cap?
Only where the design avoids seams. Garment formulas (Advanced SP, DTF, DB, LD and LT) work on headwear when the design sits clear of seams, such as the front of a five-panel cap. Designs that cross a six-panel seam or sit over mesh need Advanced HC, which uses a seam-bridging adhesive and presses on a curved hat platen.
What transfer works on softshell jackets?
Advanced SD is the full-color transfer for softshell jackets, vests, pants and other coated outdoor shells. Softshell has a water-repellent coating and unstable dye, so a standard transfer can fail to bond, overheat the garment, or let dye bleed into the design. Advanced SD bonds at 290–300°F in 10 seconds with a dye-blocking layer. If a shell cannot take 290–300°F, do not press it, and test a hidden area first.
What transfer works on bags, backpacks and promo products?
Advanced PP is the full-color transfer for bags and promo products: totes, backpacks, drawstring bags, coolers, lunch bags, lanyards, pouches, shoes, umbrellas, tents, suitcases, and even cardboard or wood packaging accents. Its promotional adhesive bonds to 600D polyester, ripstop nylon and other hard-to-press materials at 260–320°F for 10 seconds. Confirm the item can take that heat, and test coated materials first.
Do full-color transfers work on waterproof or water-resistant fabric?
Water-resistant fabric that can take a press works with Advanced LD, LT, SD (coated shells) and HC (headwear with a durable water repellent, or DWR, finish), always after a test press. Fully waterproof fabric is excluded from Advanced LD and LT; Advanced PP is the safer choice there, if the item withstands its press heat. Advanced SP, DTF and DB are not made for waterproof coatings.
Will the print stretch without cracking?
Advanced SP, DB, LD, SD and PP stretch and rebound without cracking in regular wear. Advanced HC goes further: its flexible adhesive bridges cap seams and rebounds when the hat is bent. Advanced LT can crack over seams, so keep Advanced LT designs off seams.
Ordering & pricing
What is the minimum order?
Advanced DTF has no minimum: order one Single Image transfer or one gang sheet. Every other Advanced full-color formula (SP, DB, HC, LD, LT, SD and PP) has a minimum of 10 identical pieces per design, and their gang sheets start at 10 sheets. For fewer than 10 pieces, order Advanced DTF.
How does quantity pricing work?
Unit prices fall as quantity rises, and each product’s configurator calculates your exact total live. Formulas with a 10-piece minimum step down at 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 1,000, 2,500 and 5,000+ pieces or sheets. Advanced DTF steps at 1, 10, 50 and 100+ pieces, and at 1, 10, 50 and 100+ gang sheets. Prices on this page are retail as of November 2026.
Is Advanced SP or Advanced DTF cheaper?
It depends on run size. Advanced DTF is the most economical choice under about 20 transfers and sells from a single piece ($1.36 for one 2 × 2 in transfer). Advanced SP starts at 10 pieces and becomes the more economical choice from about 20, falling to $0.42 per 1.5 × 1.5 in transfer at 5,000+. Compare your exact size and quantity in each product’s configurator.
What is the difference between Single Image and Gang Sheet?
A Single Image order is one design in one finished size. A Gang Sheet holds several designs on one press-ready sheet, uploaded as one completed file sized to the sheet you order. All eight products offer both: Advanced DTF gang sheets are 22 inches wide (22 × 12 to 22 × 180 in, from one sheet), and the other seven offer A5, A4 and A3 gang sheets with a 10-sheet minimum.
What sizes can I order?
Every size is the finished print size, and every size is offered at every quantity tier.
- Advanced SP: 7 sizes, 1.5 × 1.5 to 11.7 × 16.5 in
- Advanced DTF: 17 sizes, 2 × 2 to 12 × 22 in; gang sheets 22 × 12, 22 × 24, 22 × 60, 22 × 120 and 22 × 180 in
- Advanced DB, LT and SD: 9 sizes, 1.5 × 1.5 to 11.7 × 16.5 in
- Advanced LD: 7 sizes, 1.5 × 1.5 to 11.7 × 16.5 in
- Advanced HC: 2.5 × 2.5 and 4.7 × 2.8 in, plus A5, A4 and A3 gang sheets
- Advanced PP: 7 sizes, 2.5 × 2.5 to 11.7 × 16.5 in, including A6 (4.1 × 5.8 in)
Are there setup fees?
None of the eight products lists a setup fee, and Advanced DTF has no setup or hidden fees beyond shipping. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
Artwork & design
What file should I upload?
Upload one print-ready PDF per design, ideally exported from vector software, at the exact finished size you are ordering. AI, CDR and SVG files are also accepted; raster files need high resolution at the finished size, and Advanced DTF asks for at least 300 PPI. Convert fonts to outlines or shapes and keep non-printing areas transparent. Every file is reviewed before production.
What is the smallest detail a full-color transfer can print?
Free-floating lines must be at least 0.6 pt (0.2 mm) thick on all eight Advanced full-color transfers. Before uploading, check spelling, alignment and colors at 100%, embed linked images, and expand pattern fills in vector files.
How do I specify colors and gradients?
Full-color transfers print unlimited colors and gradients in one transfer. For Advanced DTF, build artwork in CMYK; colors print close but are not Pantone-matched. For Advanced SP, DB, HC, LD, LT, SD and PP, list Pantone (PMS) numbers or CMYK values in the Colors field where the product has one, or in your order notes, to match brand colors.
Which full-color transfers offer metallic colors?
Advanced DB, HC, LD, LT, SD and PP offer metallic colors at no extra cost. Advanced DTF and Advanced SP do not list metallics.
Application & pressing
Can I apply full-color transfers with a household iron or a Cricut EasyPress?
No. Every Advanced full-color transfer needs a professional air-operated or manual heat press with adequate pressure settings, not a domestic iron, a Cricut EasyPress or a low-pressure craft press. Use 40 psi firm pressure (30–40 psi for Advanced LD and LT) and a higher setting on a manual press. Caps also need a curved hat platen, and large promo objects can use a compressed-air press.
What heat press settings does each full-color transfer use?
All eight Advanced full-color transfers peel hot. On a manual press, use a higher pressure setting.
| Transfer | Temperature | Time | Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Advanced SP | 290–320°F | 10–15 sec | 40 psi, firm |
| Advanced DTF | 280–320°F | 12–15 sec | 40 psi, firm |
| Advanced DB | 290–320°F | 10–15 sec | 40 psi, firm |
| Advanced HC | 290–320°F | 8 sec | 40 psi, firm, curved hat platen |
| Advanced LD | 260–270°F | 12–15 sec | 30–40 psi, medium-firm |
| Advanced LT | 260–270°F | 12–15 sec | 30–40 psi, medium-firm |
| Advanced SD | 290–300°F | 10 sec | 40 psi, firm |
| Advanced PP | 260–320°F | 10 sec | 40 psi, firm |
How do I apply a full-color heat transfer?
These six steps apply to every formula; Advanced HC adds a curved hat platen and an 8-second press.
- Pre-press the blank, where the material allows, to remove wrinkles and moisture.
- Place the transfer printed side up, flat on the fabric and clear of seams, zippers and hardware.
- Close the press at the formula’s temperature and pressure.
- Hold for the full press time; the adhesive needs the full heat and time to bond.
- Peel the carrier immediately while warm, with a slow, steady pull at about 180°.
- Check that every edge is bonded before pressing the rest of the run.
Do I need a Teflon sheet, cover sheet or second press?
No cover sheet, Teflon sheet or second press is needed. Pre-press the blank, press once for the full time, and peel hot immediately. Press a test garment first whenever you change fabric, coating or settings.
Why is my transfer lifting or not bonding?
Check these in order:
- Pressure: 40 psi firm (30–40 psi for Advanced LD and LT), higher on a manual press.
- Press time: hold the full time.
- Peel: peel hot, right after opening the press.
- Blank: pre-press it smooth and dry.
- Placement: keep the transfer off seams, zippers and hardware.
- Fabric: confirm the formula suits the fabric’s coating, dye and heat tolerance.
- Press type: caps need a curved hat platen.
If none of these solves it, use Request a Quote with your order number and photos.
Durability & care
How do I wash garments pressed with full-color transfers?
Follow the garment’s care label first. For Advanced DTF, wash cold and inside out, hang dry (or tumble dry low only if you must), and do not bleach, iron the print, dry clean or use fabric softener. For the other formulas, wash inside out where the label allows and keep fabric softener off the print. Spot-clean Advanced HC caps where the label allows, and let Advanced SD and PP prints cool before stacking or packing.
Turnaround & support
How fast are full-color transfers produced and shipped?
Production runs 1–2 business days for all eight Advanced full-color transfers. Shipping is calculated at checkout (USPS Ground $10.95, UPS Ground $15.95 or FedEx 2Day $20.95 as of November 2026), with free USPS Ground on eligible full-color orders over $125. Tracking is provided when the order ships.
How do I ask about a rush order or a deadline?
Use Request a Quote with your order details, your deadline and any special shipping requirements.
What if the printed colors don’t match what I expected?
Advanced DTF prints close to your colors but is not Pantone-matched, so expect close CMYK color. For exact brand colors, choose a PMS-capable formula (Advanced SP, DB, HC, LD, LT, SD or PP), list your Pantone numbers when you order, and check colors at 100% before uploading.
How do I get help, report a problem or reorder?
Use Request a Quote and include your order number, with photos if a transfer has a problem. For a reorder, reference your previous order number.
