Full-color barrier transfers that press at just 260-270F for heat-sensitive fabrics. Seven sizes from 1.5 x 1.5 in to 11.7 x 16.5 in, minimum 10 pieces. Dye-blocking layer keeps sublimated and patterned polyester clean.

Loading the configurator…

Low-Temperature Dye-Blocking Heat Transfers print a complete full-color design in a single press at just 260°F to 270°F, with every color included at once. A dye-blocking layer sits beneath the print, so sublimated polyester, patterned polyester, and technical stretch fabrics come out clean with no dye bleed and no scorch marks. There is no color limit, no weeding, and no stiff edge around the artwork, so detailed logos, gradients, and small text stay sharp on fabrics that would ruin an ordinary transfer.

The barrier is an invisible layer under the color that creates a true no-bleed result, while the low-cure adhesive bonds at a temperature gentle enough for heat-sensitive garments. Dye from sublimated and patterned polyester cannot migrate into the design over time, so whites stay white and bright colors stay clean. A white backing under the color keeps artwork vivid on both light and dark garments, and the print stretches and rebounds without cracking through regular wear. Spot-color matching keeps brand and team colors consistent across reorders, and metallic colors are available at no extra cost.

Seven finished sizes are available, from a 1.5 x 1.5 in chest mark to an 11.7 x 16.5 in full front or back. Every size is offered at every quantity, so one artwork file can run 10 pieces for a team and repeat unchanged at volume. The minimum is 10 identical pieces per design, with unit pricing that steps down at 20, 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000, 2500, and 5000 pieces.

These transfers suit patterned polyester shirts and sportswear, sublimated polyester prone to dye migration, and technical stretch fabrics such as performance wear and tri-blends, plus water-resistant outer layers that still take a press. They also handle caps where the design does not cross a seam. They are not for fabrics that are 100 percent waterproof, where a promotional transfer is the safer choice, and all-over bag coverage suits a promotional transfer instead. For promotional gear the transfer may be used, but a promotional format gives the best results.

Application takes 12 to 15 seconds at 260°F to 270°F with medium-firm pressure at 30 to 40 psi, then a hot peel. Use an air-operated or manual heat press, not a domestic iron, a craft press, or any press without adequate pressure settings, and press a sample first when you change fabrics or settings. Supply one print-ready PDF with fonts outlined and fine lines at 0.6 pt or heavier, and every file is reviewed before printing. Production runs 1 to 2 business days. For heat-sensitive and sublimated fabrics that must not scorch or bleed, this is the format to order.

FAQ

Single Image FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is this transfer?

A full-color garment transfer that presses at a low temperature and carries a built-in dye-blocking layer. One artwork file produces every color at once, with a soft feel, no weeding, and a hot peel, while the barrier underneath stops fabric dye from bleeding into the print and the low-cure adhesive avoids scorch marks.

Why press at a lower temperature?

Heat-sensitive and technical fabrics can scorch, shine, or melt under a standard press cycle. A 260°F to 270°F application bonds the design fully without that damage, so lightweight performance wear and delicate blends come out clean.

What is dye migration and why does it matter?

Polyester and sublimated fabrics are dyed with heat. When a transfer is pressed with heat, that dye can reactivate and bleed into the design over time, causing discoloration and dark spots. The blocking layer sits between the fabric and the print and prevents that bleed, so colors stay clean wash after wash.

How is it different from a standard barrier transfer?

Both block dye migration the same way. The difference is heat: the low-temperature dye-blocking version bonds at 260°F to 270°F instead of a hotter cycle, so it suits heat-sensitive fabrics that a standard barrier press would scorch. When the fabric handles full heat well, the standard barrier version is the more economical choice.

What sizes can I order?

Seven finished sizes, from 1.5 x 1.5 in up to 11.7 x 16.5 in. The largest covers a full front or back panel, and every size is available at every quantity.

What is the minimum order?

10 identical pieces per design. For fewer than 10, use a no-minimum format instead.

How does quantity pricing work?

Any quantity from 10 pieces upward. Unit cost steps down at 20, 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000, 2500, and 5000 pieces, so larger runs cost less per piece.

Which fabrics work best?

Patterned polyester shirts and sportswear, sublimated polyester prone to dye migration, technical and stretchy performance fabrics such as tri-blends, and water-resistant outer layers. These are the fabrics that scorch or bleed under a standard press.

Will it stick to waterproof fabrics?

It bonds to water-resistant fabrics, but not to fabrics that are 100 percent waterproof. For fully waterproof shells, choose a promotional transfer instead.

Can I use it on caps or promotional items?

Caps work only where the design does not cross a seam, since the print can crack over a seam; for a six-panel cap, use a headwear-specific transfer. Promotional gear may be pressed with this transfer, but a promotional format gives the best results there.

Do you match brand colors or print metallics?

Yes. Spot-color matching is available so team and brand colors stay consistent, and metallic colors print at no extra cost.

What press settings do I use?

260°F to 270°F for 12 to 15 seconds at 30 to 40 psi medium-firm pressure, then peel hot. Use a higher setting on a manual press. Full steps are on the Application tab.

What press do I need?

An air-operated or manual heat press. A domestic iron, a craft press, or any press without adequate pressure settings will not bond the transfer correctly.

How fast will my order produce?

Production runs 1 to 2 business days. Delivery time depends on location and the shipping method selected at checkout.

What artwork file should I upload?

One file per design, PDF preferred from vector software. Outline all fonts and keep fine lines at 0.6 pt or heavier. PDF, AI, CDR, and SVG are preferred, and other common formats are accepted.

Upload Gang Sheet FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a low-temperature dye-blocking gang sheet?

Low-Temperature Dye-Blocking Heat Transfers Gang Sheets hold multiple full-color designs on one press-ready sheet for heat-sensitive fabrics. You upload one completed sheet file sized to the sheet you order, and the whole sheet presses with a low 260-270F application and a dye-blocking layer underneath.

How do I order a gang sheet?

Choose a sheet size (A5, A4, or A3), set the quantity, upload your completed gang-sheet file, and add any notes in Details and Comments. Use Upload Gang Sheet mode; there is no online builder, so arrange your designs before uploading.

What sheet sizes can I order?

Three sheet sizes: A5 5.8 x 8.3 in, A4 8.3 x 11.7 in, and A3 11.7 x 16.5 in. Arrange your artwork within the selected sheet dimensions before uploading.

What is the minimum order?

Minimum 10 sheets per design. The configurator enforces the live gang-sheet minimum.

How does quantity pricing work?

Order the quantity of sheets you need. Unit cost steps down at 20, 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000, 2500, and 5000 sheets, so larger runs cost less per sheet. Final totals calculate live in the configurator.

Can I arrange multiple designs on one sheet?

Yes. Arrange multiple designs, sizes, and placements within the selected sheet area. The sheet shares one press application across every design on it.

How does dye-blocking help on sublimated fabrics?

The blocking layer sits between the fabric and the print and helps reduce dye bleed, so colors stay cleaner. It helps prevent migration but cannot guarantee bleeding can never occur.

Press Type Air-operated or manual heat press

Step-by-Step Application

  1. Prepare the garment. Press the blank first to remove wrinkles and surface moisture. On sublimated or patterned polyester, confirm the fabric is smooth and dry, since moisture encourages dye movement.
  2. Place the transfer. Position the transfer printed side up, on top of the fabric and not over a seam. The finished size of the transfer is the finished size of the print.
  3. Close the press. Set the platen to 260°F to 270°F and close with medium-firm pressure at 30 to 40 psi. On a manual press, use a higher pressure setting.
  4. Hold. Keep the press closed for 12 to 15 seconds. Do not shorten the dwell, because the low-cure adhesive and the blocking layer need the full time to bond at the lower temperature.
  5. Peel hot. Open the press and peel the carrier away immediately while the print is still warm, with a slow steady pull at roughly a 180-degree angle.
  6. Check the result. Confirm the edges are fully bonded, the fabric shows no scorch or shine, and the colors are clean before continuing with the rest of the run.

Important Precautions

  • Use an air-operated or manual heat press, not a domestic iron, a craft press, or any press without adequate pressure settings.
  • Do not press on fabrics that are 100 percent waterproof. Use a promotional transfer on those shells.
  • Do not press a headwear design across a seam or over mesh; use a headwear-specific transfer for seamed caps.
  • When in doubt about scorch or dye stability, press a sample first and check it after cooling before running production.
  • Always perform a test press before starting full production. We are not responsible for damaged garments.

Care Instructions

  • Wash Cold Inside Out.
  • Best if Hang Dry or No Heat if Must Tumble Dry Low Heat.
  • Do Not Bleach.
  • Do Not Iron Imprint/Transfer.
  • Do Not Dry Clean.
  • Best Not to use fabric softener.

Always perform a test press before full production to verify adhesion, application settings, and garment compatibility.
